Rooms
The nursery rooms are arranged over three floors. Each room caters for a particular age range.
Orange Group is based on the lower ground floor of the nursery and caters for children aged between 10 months and 2 years.
Lemon Group is based on the raised ground floor of the nursery and caters for children aged between 2yrs and 3¼yrs.
Pear Group is based on the first floor of the nursery and caters for children aged between 3 and 5 years. Here, the Early Years Teacher prepares the children for the transition from nursery to school.
Daily routine
We know that children benefit from routine. Breaks, activities and garden play are therefore held at the same time every day, enabling children to feel secure about the day’s events. Click here to view and download a printer friendly daily routine.
Drinking water is available all the rooms and children are actively encouraged to drink water throughout the day. There are regular snack times throughout the day, when children are offered water or semi-skimmed milk.

Our aim is to provide children with a healthy balanced diet, while introducing exciting dishes from around the world. Lunchtime meals include Mushroom & Pepper Risotto with Flat Bread, Chicken & Plum Tagine with Couscous and Steamed Cod & Roasted Vegetables in Tomato Sauce.
Outdoor space
The nursery has a large secure garden, giving children the opportunity to play outside. Whether it’s rain or shine, the children have plenty of protection from the elements to continue enjoying their activities.
Outings
Children attending our nursery regularly have the opportunity to take part in outings. Children frequently visit the local parks, libraries, museums and shops. We also organise excursions for the older children to places such as Cotswold Wildlife Park, the Earth Trust, Beale Park and the Pegasus Theatre.
Key Person Approach
In order to ensure every child in the nursery is given the appropriate level of attention and care, a key person is appointed for each child. A key person is a named member of staff assigned to an individual child to support their development and act as the key point of contact for the child and their parents. The key person has special responsibilities for working with a small number of children and helps build and develop positive relationships with children.
Closed bank holidays and Christmas week.
